We won in Eurovision and H.E.A.T on TV4

What a week and weekend this has been!   Hasse sitting on our veranda On Wednesday Hasse and me "sat sails" for Tallin on a mini-cruise. We went in the most beautiful weather with sunshine and summer temperatures. We got this amazing cabin - a corner executive suite with the largest veranda where we really could take advantage of the gorgeous weather.  Beautiful sunset In Tallin we took a hopon-hopoff bus which I think is a great way to see a town and then get back to the places you liked and want to see more of. We had lunch at a restaurant with maritime theme. It was really nice. I had a soup that was very good but how on earth they can put anshovies in butter ?!?! I don't know. That really spoilt my lunch. I can't eat that because my stomach doesn't want to have it.   The water in the background made it authentic since it moved all the time  Here you really see the maritime theme coming to live. See the sail in the background?   The flowermarket on the way i

H.E.A.T wave in Sweden

Yes, we have finally got summer temperatures :-) Did you think I meant something else? Well, that too of course. H.E.AT have been out touring Sweden the last weekends and they have had great reviews. This Saturday 26th they will perform on Swedish TV4 on a show called Kvallen ar din "the evening is yours". It's people who has done something great or gone through something hard and they have been "kidnapped" and their highest dream comes through in the show. One girl had a dream of singing with H.E.AT. and she gets her wish granted and that's what's on TV. I was actually there when they taped the show, me and Erik G (the singer) mother. Link to the show Last week I didn't do much. We had a National holiday so off work from Thursday to Sunday (which I'm always anyway :-)) I did have the cooking this week at work so Monday, that is yesterday, I offered taco-rolls filled with minced meat or fillet of pork. To that I made a gorgeous sallat and also

Another weekend gone by...

Well not just a weekend but a whole week since last. Emil, my youngest, turned 25 on Wednesday :-) He was born 10.43 on a sunny Saturday when it was the final of Eurovision song contest. We had planned to BBQ that night with Staffan and Lena but when I woke up I realized we had to change plans. The birth was very quick. He was out in just 4 hours. So HAPPY BIRTHDAY Emil. Then on Thursday I went up to Norrtälje to visit my friend Anne. We had a lovely time and the weather was just gorgeous. After treatment we went to the restaurant "Havspiren" which is situated just by the sea. We actually could sit outside eating enjoying the sunshine and good food.   My friend Anne at the restaurant   Me enjoying the sunshine The view Then on Friday we had a conference with the Rheumatic district board which started in the terminal of Birka and then we headed out to sea and Åland. The weather was great but there were big black clouds and a lot of rain but not where we w

Confirmation

T oday I went to my "grand daughter" Tanya's confirmation in Eds church. The church is beautiful and very old, built in 1100 situated by a lake.  The confirmation went very well and they all seemed happy. The confirmands after the cermony outside the church Afterwards we went home to her Mom's place for sandwich cakes, coffee and cakes and more. Also, of course, for Tanya to open her presents. We had bought her a nice silver necklace and a bracelet in the same style. She liked it very much.   Tracy (who is expecting her first child) and Tanya   The girls, Inger, Tracy and Tanya made these wonderful sandwich cakes And a friend of them made this suitable cake The girls had made the sandwich cakes and they were delicious!! Now I'm home again and are preparing for tomorrows work. This week I will be going to Norrtälje to see my friend for treatment and lunch (that is if her grandchild hasn't choosen to arrive that day). Then Fr

Walpurgis and May 1

Can you believe it's already May? So much happens so fast. The days are getting longer and so much lighter. We have even had a touch of spring and this Walpurgis night was beautiful. Just as often it snows but this year we had sunshine and nice warm temperatures. The Japanese cherry trees in Kungsträdgården was in full bloom and it's just gorgeous. Here's a photo of the one outside my job. Me and Hasse went to our favorite hotel where we stayed until May 1. We had a wonderful room with views over Stockholm and Djurgården. We had calculated that we could sit in our window, watch the big Walpurgis fire and listen to the choirs singing in spring. And we sure did.  From the tower suite at our hotel  Sunset from our hotelwindow  Me on the side (can't get it right)  The wonderful restaurant we went to on May 1 From the ferry we took to the restaurant.
