Los Angeles, La Mirada, USA

Well, I'm here again. I haven't had time to write before but now I have a few moments. The flight was very good although I didn't have any time at London Heathrow. Just through ticketcheck through to security and then on to the pier which you had transfer to with an underground train. I got up to the pier and on to the plane immidietly. No turbulence whatsoever, good food, the new business seats were very comfortable. We landed on time and J and M met me at LAX. I was so happy to see them. It's been a year and I really misses them when in Sweden. It was warm and sunny and my socks went off at once. We have had lovely days since I came, warm and sunny and what I would call high summer temperatures. Here they call it spring. I enclose photos of the garden with the orangetree. Yummie oranges that are sweet and juicy. It's also strawberry season here and they are even better than the Swedish ones I can tell you. They are so sweet and really taste summer. We went down to

H.E.A.T's releaseparty!!

H.E.A.T's releaseparty is to take place on April 23 on Nalen club Alcazar in Stockholm. Be there! They will be selling the CD and shirts and play some songs live. Free entrance so there's no excuse not to be there. Except for me who will be in La Mirada, CA so I won't be there. Tonight the band is in Karlstad playing at Nojesfabriken. I'm sure it will be a success. How can it be anything else with that wonderful music they're playing. I have read a few reviews of the CD that have been totally sold on it and their music. I also read a review from a gig they did in Umea earlier this year. He said their songs are so good on record and that they play live just as well, but he thought they should be styled. What do you think? Look at the photo of them or rather go and see them and judge for yourself. Really it's their music that should be judged and their love of playing and of music. They are each and everyone of them brilliant musicians! Tonight we went to dinner a

It's getting closer....

I just realized I'm going in a few days time and I have a lot to pack. Well, it's not until Wednesday morning at 7AM but on Saturday we are going to celebrate both H and T as well as I and K's 30th relationship so nothing much will be done then. And on Sunday I will be tired I think ;-). Then on Monday and Tuesday I'm off to my course again. It will be nice to meet everyone again. We have been keeping contact via mail. I think that is a wonderful invention really. I know that I have made some small errors on the assignment but I did pass so I might still become a licensed account economist. One other thing is that I looked at the weather forecast for LA and it's 26-30C and I really need some more summer clothes. Since we still have snow, rain and cold it's a big contrast to come to that warm temperature and sunshine. I have over winter lost quite a few kilos and dropped 3 sizes so many of my summer clothes are too big. Well, it's better that way than the oth

Happy Birthday H, T and A

Today is birthday to many. First of all my husband H - Happy birthday to you. Then our "grandchild" T turns 7 today - Happy birthday to you. And finally it's also my very good friend A's birthday - Happy birthday to you. We had both J and E over for dinner and since it's H's birthday it's his choice of food and of course he wanted his favourite food which is meatloaf with mashed potatoes and vegetables. It's a tradition in our family that the "birthdaychild" gets to choose dinner and I make it :-). It was nice to see them both and to hear about J's gig at Aland this weekend. Also their CD has been reviewed in another spot: www.rockunited.com where you can see an interview with Crash, Jona and Dave as well. The review gave their CD 9 out of 10 which is excellent. It was the last time today with the Rheumatic gymnastics and Qigong. We have decided to continue this autumn as well. We had some coffee and tea with ginger breads and we gave

H.E.A.T's new homepage

I just have to share this with you. H.E.A.T's new homepage was launched today and it's just fantastic. Go there folks and be inspired ;-) www.heatsweden.com In a review by Melodic.net they gave their debut album 5 stars! http://www.melodic.net/latestReviews.asp#6597 It almost brought tears to my eyes to read such beautiful words about the band. So here's really a proud Mom today. Otherwise things is very hectic at the moment. Tonight G, H's daughter, will come which is always nice. Tomorrow we are going to our good friends K and J to meet their former sister-in-law S who is Italian and lives there as well. Then on Monday it's H birthday as well as A and T's. I'm also preparing to go to LA. Looking over my summerclothes because they have been in the closet the whole winter but now it's time to take them out which is lovely. Only a week left now before I go. I'm so happy to go and to meet everyone in my family again. Too bad though that J can't co

PREVIEW H.E.A.T (listen and enjoy)

http://www.youtube.com/user/Heatband Via this link you can listen to short parts of some songs from their album. Also one of the songs were reviewed at Rockklassiker (a Swedish radio channel) on Monday http://www.rockklassiker.se/3385.aspx?threadId=1906&blogId=12 Really good review I think. The sad thing is that the relase is so late that I won't be able to bring them to LA. It has been so delayed. I was totally convinced that it should have been here long ago. Well, I have asked Jonas to send them over so I hope he will but I still have my hopes up that he will get at least one that I can bring. Today it's my Mom's 84th birthday and I have just talked to her over the phone. I sent her a big boquet of flowers as well as a box of chocolate (which she liked and wanted more of). For the first time ever, I think, she had forgotten it was her birthday. She's very accurate when it comes to birthdays and as I grew up we were always celebrated on our birthdays. I think it m
