H.E.A.T release date is April 28 folks. Write it down.

I can't believe it's Saturday again. Yesterday was Monday I thought. This week was shorter because it was the day after Easter so we were free from work an extra day which was nice. Also I got my salary but that just comes in and out just as fast. I had a talk with my boss today about getting a raise and I got that. 1000 SEK a month. That's good I think. It's nice to be acknowledge for the work you do and especially now in our situation when not knowing anything. There has been several TV-shows, locally, about SRSA College of Rosersberg and the closing. NOW there are reactions that should have come a year ago. Members of Parliement and the Fire Chief of Stockholm has been talking as well as our Chief of school. It's good that something happens. We have to wait and see what comes out of that. H.E.A.T's record was pressed this week and hopefully I will be able to buy some copies to give as a gift to my sis and nieces but it's tight. I have since I wrote this

Happy Easter

On Good Friday our boys J and E came for dinner. We had really planned to have it on Saturday but since J and H.E.A.T had a gig in Eskilstuna yesterday night we had to have it earlier. We had a very nice time with good food, drink and chat. So H and I was expecting to sit all alone on Easter evening but then S called and said our grandson Hk was to play icehockey in the Globe (he's very good and has been in the Swedish junior crownteam). So he and O (our other grandson) came and H went with them. Meanwhile I made a Easter buffet with lots of different dishes. Egg being the most important :-). Suddenly when I was at it there was a ring on the door and IP with our two "grandchildren" To and Ta came for a visit. IP brought some wonderful roses and daffodils and To had made with his own hands for me a house and for H a footrest. They are so adorable. Hk team won and have played a match today too so S and O decided to stay overnight with us. Very nice, we are so glad to ha

Sad news

Finally the day was here when we were to get out verdict from the Goverment and just as I suspected we are to close down, as a Goverment college, on December 31, 2008. They said there was to be another commisson that will look into if there are any other operators interested in taking over the college. Whatever happen all employers will be given notice (but we don't know when either) December 31 at the latest but it can be earlier. If there is another operator willing to take over they probably have their own employees at least within my line of work. So it feels very sad today. 28 years working with fire fighter education in different places both in economy (what I'm doing now) but also as purchaser, administrating courses, responsible for credit controls of customers, responsible for tenancy agreements for the students and much much more. DO YOU HAVE A JOB OFFER THAT WOULD SUIT ME ,FEEL FREE TO CONTACT ME It's gonna be hard since I haven't applied for a new job in 28

Sunday with fever and cold

Well this week like most others just flew by. I don't know where all these seconds, minutes, hours goes. It's very calm now at work. It's like everyone is just waiting to see what the proposition on Tuesday says. Then we hopefully know what road we will go. Thursday I started the Business University at Globen. I am to be licensed accountant economist. It's a course which comprise 6 months but we are only in the Business University for 10 days in total. Rest of the time we are studying at home and we have assignments to do. In order to get our diploma we have to do these assignments and also be passed. Our teacher is a man, auditor, who is the spitting image of a very well known artist here in Sweden, Lars Berghagen. The first day we were all fascinated by this because his gestures, his mimic everything is the same. We are 13 students in our class and we all come from different backgrounds, companies and places in Sweden. It's a very good atmosphere with lots of laug

Work tomorrow

Well, the weekend just flew away. I don't know where but we had a lot of fun. Yesterday we had dinner with our friends I and K and their kids. First we had an entrée of avocado, tomatoes, "vastkustrora" which is shrimps in a mix of majo, sour cream, dill and lemon. Very good. For main course we had BBQ entrecote, and those were the best entrecotes I've ever had for sure, with potatoegratin except me and K who had vegetablegratin (GI) and a salad of tomatoes, onionslices, olives and mozarella and of course K's wonderful sauce. Delicious. For desert he had made homemade vanilla icecream and served peaches topped with chocolate. Yummie. Today we were invited to our good friends K and J for wafles and afternoon coffee. It was really good and we don't eat wafles that often, in fact almost only once a year. Too bad really since it's very good. I must show you a photo of me wearing the most gorgeous T-shirt. Don't you agree? If you want one feel free to conta

Finally Saturday and International Women's Day

This week E was operated on. It was an operation in his ear trying to hopefully regain 80-90% of hearing on his left ear. I can't explain fully what was wrong but it was something with those tiny little bones inside your ear that didn't vibrate as it should making him hear badly. I fetched him from hospital that night and he slept here with us. The next morning it had bled through so me and H had to remove the bloody bandage which wasn't easy since he had a drain in the ear and it was absolutely forbidden to remove that. It is to keep the eardrum open so the blood will run out instead of staying inside the middle ear and clogging. We did as good as we could but after work I went with E to my doctor's clinic and asked if they could help us. The nurse said of course but when she saw the bandage and the blood she went and fetched a doctor. Anyway the doctor, looked at it and said: Were you supposed to fix this yourself and E said yes because that was the mes

Monday and snow

The weekend passed very quickly and I'm sad I couldn't go to the reunion party with H's former job. It was on Saturday and I was still not 100% well and I didn't want to share "Vinterkräksjukan" with anyone. Selfish of me I know ;-) but I do think they would have thanked me if they knew. Anyway H went and he had so much fun. There were of course a lot of memories but also new ones were created so who knows maybe there will be another reunion a couple of years down the line. While H were at this party having good food I sat at home eating my yoghurt and rusk and a cup of tea while watching the Melodifestival. It was actually quite nice to be on my own, well of course Hilma was home with me and we took a brief walk, sitting cozy in the sofa with blankets and pillows. The songs this Saturday were very good I think and I also think it was the right songs that went to the final. Yesterday I took a long walk with Hilma which was very nice because I hadn't been o
