"Vinterkräksjuka", Stomachflu, gastric catarrh

Doesn't matter what name it has. I hate it!! Wednesday I suddenly felt very sick and out of nowhere I started vomiting. It continued for 5-6 hours and was so hard that I had blood vessels popping in my face. It's really strong forces in this. After that I developed fever, pain in muscles and joints and of course diarrhea. Nice don't you think? I won't go into any details I think you get the picture. Today I'm feeling a bit better at least I don't have any fever but my stomach isn't back to normal yet. This is too sad because we were supposed to go to a reunion party with H's former job but now I can't and I wouldn't have done it anyway so close to this because it's contagiuos up to 48 hours after you feel fine. H hasn't developed any symptoms yet and I sure hope he won't get it. So hopefully he will be able to go anyway. Well, what's new otherwise? I attended the anual meeting with the Rheumatic association on Monday night. It wa

Hospitals, parties, H.E.A.T and Opera

This week has really been both awful and wonderfully funny. I think it's the way God, or whatever higher power you believe in, sees to it that we get a balance in things so we can endure bad things. The week started rather good with rheuma gymnastics which is made to suit our aching bodies. We do have to move trying to get stronger. Tuesday was care planning for O who is still in hospital. He has gangrane in a foot and it's spreading up in his leg. They made an angiography but there was nothing to do. It was too big blockage. The surgeons said no to do a by pass in the leg. His condition is too bad and he wouldn't pull through such a big operation. But it's funny, or rather sad, that you as a relative have to be almost trained doctor. Why do I say that? Well, I asked the doctor what painrelief O had and he said none?!?! None with a gangrane? O hadn't said he was in pain so they didn't give him any. But you just have to look at him to see he's in such pain th

Touring

This weekend has been one with a lot of touring. Friday was D's birthday. He turned 33, I can't believe I have that grown "child" now as I don't feel older than 30,lol. Just kidding, some days I feel like I'm 80 and some like 30. I think we all have those days. First we went to H's doctor to check on his ears. He has had this cold now for 4 1/2 month and it's getting to him now. He says he doesn't have the strength anymore and who would after this ordeal. His ears were not OK but they can't do anything more. The doctor said when the coughing gets better and the cold is healed he will also hear properly again which is a relief. Then in the afternoon I went to see my sister H, who is dentist. I have had infection in one tooth for a long time and the tooth even broke into two parts so she had to pull some of it out. She had said that if it get worse I had to take the whole tooth out but luckily, after eating antibiotics, it looked better so I stil

Happy Valentine's Day

Yesterday was a very busy day. As I told you we were gonna have an emergency meeting and when the handling officer came and saw the state O was in she said he has to go back to hospital. She also arranged for Mom to go to the shorttime home again. I called an ambulance and Mom's and Dad's community help stayed on and helped him and also locked the house. I took Mom down to the home where she's gonna stay. It's a bit far from their home so we drove there. She wasn't keen on going but when we got there they showed her the new room and she was very glad because this time she was given a single room with a very nice view. After I had seen that she was well taken care of I drove home again, went shopping food for dinner, ate, took a shower and was off to AD who was hosting a MaryKay skin care class. I had never been to one before and I can say that this was really my happy moment of the day and very well needed after all that had happened earlier. We were 5 very happy

Tuesday and tired

Above a photo of J and Peter in the studio and right side a view of LA and left the great rockers. J and K. Happy moment today was when I drove to work at 6.20AM and it was actually light and clear. It gets lighter and lighter every day now and the sun is returning. Can you be other than happy then? Last night I had trouble sleeping. Thoughts kept disturbing me. Thoughts about Mom and O and how they gonna keep. They are not living a dignified life as it is now. I have been talking to the community help service, district nurses and others and tomorrow we have called an emergency meeting to see what can be done. They both need 24-hour care which the community help service can't give so maybe they have to go to hospital again. So this morning I was dead tired when I woke up at 5.15AM and that's why I was so happy when I saw this beautiful morning. I thought it would be sunshine all day but no. It was just in the morning and later it turned cloudy and colder and hoarfrost on the tr

Lazy Sunday?

It has been a while since I wrote but so many things happens and my time is rather limited for blogging. Let's see - this week J went to Los Angeles and from the sound of it he has had a marvellous time over there. The mixing of the album has been according to schedule. I have been "talking" to him via MSN and it's very comforting for a mother's heart to know your son is doing well. Last night they had been to the Viper room and he said it was soft. H and me are going to Arlanda to meet him soon. I look forward to hearing more about his trip. Mom and O has both returned from hospital and shortime home. They did so Friday and H and I went there to welcome them. We did some shopping so they would have something to eat and drink when they returned. O came first and he's not well. He had lost several kilos from an already thin body. He sat down in his chair but just after an hour he had to lie down on the sofa and there he fell asleep for a couple of hours. Meanwh

Friday flow by and now it's Saturday

I can't believe how fast time flies. There doesn't seem to be enough hours in a day. Thursday evening G and Kl (our youngest grandchild) came to spend some time with us. They came rather late and I was so tired since I go up rather early but we said hello and then I went to bed. On Friday G attended school, she's training to be acupuncturer which is an 3 year education, so H and Kl was alone when I was at work. When I came home we ate lunch and then Kl and I went down to our "mall" to buy a birthday present for her. She will be 12 on Tuesday. This was really my happy moment on Friday. It was so much fun going shopping with her. We finally ended up buying a new dress, new shoes, 3 earrings and a necklace. She looked absolutely adorable in her new outfit. She's such a lovely child (of course all 6 of our grandchildren are, but she's the youngest so far and has a special place in my heart) and it's so fun being with her. Since I don't have any daughte
